He used pressure treated 2″ x 4″ for the base, 2″x 2″ for the wall and roof and finally he clad the exterior with spruce plywood. With 20 year fibreglass shingles, this project should last the same.
Zach finished the exterior with an outdoor stain to protect the inside from the elements.

With the regular classes ending yesterday, Justin put the finishing touches on hs white pine table. Of course it is not white, he stained his coffee table with early american min-wax stain and clear coated it with 3 coats of water-based polyurethane (environmentally friendly).

Seth designed this project to fit his own electronic equipment. He constructed the entire project out of maple solids.
Although Seth is happy, he knows that he is not allowed in the shop area with open-toed shoes ;0)

Chris found the plans for this project in one of the class resources “Woodsmith” magazine. He used different species of wood to add his own personality to the piece.
This is his second year in Construction Technology and he has exceeded the expectations of the course. The entire project is made from solids that include oak and purple heart. Chris used the following wood joints to create a life-long piece of furnitre: rabbit, dado and and pocket hole.

This is Brandon’s first major woodworking project in Grade 11. He designed, estimated its price, layed out a procedure and constructed a fine piece of furniture. The combination of Purple Heart and Maple really make this project pop!

Brandon competed 2 major woodworking projects this semester (1 more than required). This is his second project a set or steps used in a kitchen or other areas with objects out of reach. He incorporated a local species of wood oak with a tropical purple heart.
